First of all, the most important work you have to do is to remove the old seals. Focus on clean, clean, clean. In addition, clean the old residue from the door channels, mirror cushion area, door hinge area and anywhere else you have old foam. Furthermore, the finest adhesive in the world will not adhere to that sticky, gooey stuff that was once a light seal.
Finally, a proper install will give you thousands of light-tight pics.

Pentax K1000 Light Seals
USCamera light seal kit will fit the Pentax K1000, K2, Kx, Km, Spotmatic, Spotmatic F, Spotmatic II, Spotmatic IIa, Spotmatic SP, Spotmatic SP500, Electro Spotmatic, ES, and the ESII film cameras. Yashica YashicaMat Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal replacement kit for all Yashica YashicaMat camera bodies. This 5 piece kit includes 4 back cover seals and 1 meter housing seal.
Please note. Though this seal kit is cut for the 124G, it fits every Yashica Model we have seen that uses seals on the back cover. Some older YashicaMat cameras may not use a seal at the door hinge. If that is the case with your camera, you do not want to add foam there.
