USCamera light seal kits also start with precise measurements taken from the actual make and model of the equipment.

We do not sell kits that supply you with a couple of pre-cut pieces which would be easily cut. Then supply you with material which will require you to learn how to accurately hand cut body and back cover channel seals.  These seals average 1.4mm – 2mm wide and average 165mm long. Believe me, it takes a lot of practice to accurately cut seals like those.  The percentage of error waste is high and accurate cuts are low.

Also, you will need to learn how to clean the old seals from your camera. Instructions for that, make sure to go here.

Additionally, you may have to cut a short piece from a body channel seal to clear the counter lever opening.

Some cameras use fabric or leather type pieces of material on the back cover or the body, usually at the latch end.  We also try and note that information in the light seal placement guides. Most of the time you do not want to remove those pieces. Generally, they do not wear out. I have serviced cameras that have seen 5000 rolls plus and they are holding up.
