First of all, the most time-consuming work is to remove the old seals. Focus on clean, clean, and clean.
Likewise, the old residue from the door channels, mirror cushion area, door hinge area and anywhere else you are replacing the seals, must be completely removed.
The finest adhesive in the world will not adhere to that sticky, gooey goo that was once a foam light seal. A proper install will give you thousands of light tight pics.

The kit includes 2 door channel seals, door hinge seal, and a replacement mirror cushion. All seals have adhesive already applied and to install you just peel off the backing and press into place. Pentax K1000 Light Seals
USCamera light seal kit will fit the Pentax K1000, K2, Kx, Km, Spotmatic, Spotmatic F, Spotmatic II, Spotmatic IIa, Spotmatic SP, Spotmatic SP500, Electro Spotmatic, ES, and the ESII film cameras. All of those cameras use the same basic body casting. This kit includes lower/upper channel seals (body), camera body hinge seal, and a mirror cushion. Please note we do not recommend removing/replacing the original hinge seal unless it is damaged. It is made of special material and to date, we are not seeing that seal decayed on the cameras we have in stock.

Pentax Super Program Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Pentax Super Program, Super A, Program Plus, Program A film cameras. The body casting for these models is the same. This 5 piece kit includes 2 door channels seals for the camera body, special cut mirror cushion, back cover hinge end top channel seal, and the hinge seal on the camera body. The original hinge seal is made of type of material that does not require replacement. I do not recommend removing the original seal and. In response to many requests from customers who have purchased cameras where the door hinge seal was already removed, we now include the foam door hinge seal. All seals have the adhesive installed. Just remove the backing from the foam and install. This kit is custom cut by USCamera and uses adhesive backed black open cell foam imported from Japan.

The light seals came perfectly cut to fit my Minolta Hi-Matic E. The included wooden sticks are very helpful during the installation process. I tried using a small screwdriver at first, but that is a bad idea as you can easily scratch the light seal channel or damage the seal itself. The sticks are a far better choice imo. I am very satisfied, and I will absolutely be using uscamera light seals for future projects.
