First of all, the most important work is to remove the old seals.

Focus on clean, clean, clean. Remove every bit of old foam so you cannot see any bits of old foam at all.
In addition, clean the old residue from the door channels, mirror cushion area, door hinge area and anywhere else you are replacing the seals.

Furthermore, the finest adhesive in the world will not adhere to that sticky, ooey gooey residue that was once a light seal. Finally, a proper install will give you many light tight exposures.

This USCamera custom light seal kit fits the Canon F1, and F1n Old. This old style F1 or F1n uses a 1.35-volt button cell battery for the meter. The kit includes 2 door channel seals, door hinge seal, and a replacement mirror cushion. All seals have adhesive already applied and to install you just peel off the backing and press into place. Please note we do not recommend removing/replacing the original hinge seal unless it is damaged. It is made of special material and to date, we are not seeing that seal decayed on the cameras we have in stock.
