When used carefully, I was able to hold, remove and place large elements, 65mm diameter and smaller. It is a high-quality tool and lasts for years. I know because I purchased one of these tools from Vivitar in 1978 and I still use it today. Some of the pics in this ad are of the old box and tools.
Please Note. The is tool is not made to remove elements by twisting the tool in the hope of turning the element in place.

USCamera LT07 rubber lens tool. Measures 26mm long, 37mm and 30mm diameter with a 5mm wide contact surface and a 4.5mm recess. Rubber tools like these are invaluable when working on lenses and camera bodies. The surface friction allows you to easily remove stubborn name rings. Cleaning the contact surface with a ketone like Acetone or a cleaner like 409, can add additional friction. Made in the USA.

Rubber tools like these are invaluable when working on lenses and camera bodies. The surface friction allows you to easily remove stubborn name rings. Cleaning the contact surface with a ketone, Acetone or similar, can add additional friction.
