Door Channel Foam – 195mm Long – No Adhesive

USCamera imported Black open cell door channel foam without adhesive. These strips are 195mm long. Available in thicknesses of 1.50mm, 2.00mm, 2.50mm, 3.00mm with various widths. Made in Japan for USCamera.
These seals are the most common sizes used for most film cameras. I find them much easier to install than adhesive backed foam and more permanent when glued down with adhesives like Pliobond. Just a few examples of the applications for these channel seals… the 1.5 x 1.5 seal was used by Nikon for years and installed in the FE, FG and FM cameras and more. The 1.50 x 1.6 is a common replacement for the Olympus OM series. A 2.0 x 2.0 seal was used in every Canon A-Series camera. Seals 3.0 x 3.0 can be used the Mamiya TLR cameras. The 3.0 x 3.0 seal can also be cut to 39mm long and used as a mirror cushion for most of the A-Series cameras.

USCamera light seal kits also start with precise measurements taken from the actual make and model of the equipment.

We do not sell kits that supply you with a couple of pre-cut pieces which would be easily cut. Then supply you with material which will require you to learn how to accurately hand cut body and back cover channel seals. These seals average 1.4mm – 2mm wide and average 165mm long. Believe me, it takes a lot of practice to accurately cut seals like those. The percentage of errors and waste is high and accurate cuts are low.

Also, you may need to learn how to remove the old seals from your camera.

Additionally, you may have to cut a short piece from a body channel seal to clear the counter lever opening.

Some cameras use fabric or leather type pieces of material on the back cover or the body, usually at the latch end. We also try and note that information in the light seal placement guides. Most of the time you do not want to remove those pieces. Generally, they do not wear out. I have serviced cameras that have seen many rolls and they are in good condition.

Stocking cut light seals from 1.3 mm wide to 11 mm wide in a thickness of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 with adhesive.

Foam sheets are available 250 long by 100 or 25mm wide.
