Many customers have asked additional quantities of the pointed bamboo tools included with our kits. I find tools like this is invaluable when installing/placing light seals and more. I’ve used these to hold small parts in place while I installed screws. The bamboo tools are small, light with somewhat polished ends. 2.5mm wide x 150mm long. Package of 10 pieces.

This is the bamboo tool that has been included with our light seal kits for years. A package of 10 pieces of polished bamboo sharpened to point on one end and ground flat on the other. This Natural wood/bamboo tool is a mostly straight, 2.5 mm wide x 150 mm long. Nice size for most hands. Perfect for installing light seals by holding, guiding, placing, and more.
Thinking of installing a light seal kit. First of all, know what you are getting yourself into.
So … before you do anything, please read the general removal and installation. Also, remember preparation is the key to a successful install.

Sometimes customers find sheet foam is the best solution also. We have photo grade sheet foam material with adhesive, in a thickness of 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm in stock.
In addition, we have many strips of light seal foam already cut to width and 220 mm long.

Canon Pellix Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Canon Pellix film camera. This light seal kit consists of 2 door channel seals for the camera body, 1 door hinge seal and a replacement focusing screen seal set of 4 pieces. We find it easier to install the seals surrounding the focusing 1 piece at a time. We also include foam replacements for the 4 felt type seals on the back cover. Though those seals may look in poor condition, most are fine. We only recommend replacing them if missing.

Canonet 19 Light Seals
This custom light seal kit fits the older series Canon Canonet series made prior to 1970. They are generally bigger and heavier rangefinder cameras than the later models. This kit fits the Canonet 17, 19, 25, QL17, QL17 L, QL19, QL19 E and the QL25. The kit includes 1 each upper channel body seal, 1 lower channel body seal, door latch plate foam seal and 1 door hinge seal on the body. All seals have adhesive already applied and to install you just peel off the backing and install.

Canonet QL17-GIII Light Seals
USCamera custom Canon light seal kit fits the New Canonet QL 17, QL 17-L, QL 17 GIII, QL 19 GIII, QL 19N, and the Canonet 28 rangefinder cameras. The kit includes 1 upper channel seal on the camera body, 2 latch plate seals on the back cover, 1 latch channel seal on the back cover, 1 upper and 1 lower seal on the back cover. All seals have adhesive already applied and to install you just peel off the foam from the backing and carefully place it. This Canon kit is currently on sale, buy 2 get 1 free, no limit.

Pentax 67 Seal Kit
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Pentax 67 film cameras. This 8 piece custom seal kit consists of 3 door channel seals on the camera body, 1 back cover hinge seal, 2 back cover door channel seal, 1 camera body door latch seal, and 1 replacement mirror cushion. USCamera light seal placement guide for this Pentax film camera here.
Pentax K1000 Light Seals
USCamera light seal kit will fit the Pentax K1000, K2, Kx, Km, Spotmatic, Spotmatic F, Spotmatic II, Spotmatic IIa, Spotmatic SP, Spotmatic SP500, Electro Spotmatic, ES, and the ESII film cameras. All of those cameras use the same basic body casting. This kit includes lower/upper channel seals (body), camera body hinge seal, and a mirror cushion. Please note we do not recommend removing/replacing the original hinge seal unless it is damaged. It is made of special material and to date, we are not seeing that seal decayed on the cameras we have in stock.

Pentax Super Program Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Pentax Super Program, Super A, Program Plus, Program A film cameras. The body casting for these models is the same. This 5 piece kit includes 2 door channels seals for the camera body, special cut mirror cushion, back cover hinge end top channel seal, and the hinge seal on the camera body. The original hinge seal is made of type of material that does not require replacement. I do not recommend removing the original seal and. In response to many requests from customers who have purchased cameras where the door hinge seal was already removed, we now include the foam door hinge seal. All seals have the adhesive installed. Just remove the backing from the foam and install. This kit is custom cut by USCamera and uses adhesive backed black open cell foam imported from Japan.
