The Multi-Controller button and button cover slide onto the toggle switch shaft. The rear cover assembly must be removed to install this part. Made by Canon Japan. The FPC without the toggle switch is available.

The main difference of the old style and new style MC button, the 4 tabs make it difficult if not impossible to install the button or remove without back cover dis-assembly. The 1st style 1D Mk III button design allowed the button to fall off easily.
