Sometimes customers find sheet foam is the best solution. We have photo grade sheet foam material with adhesive, in a thickness of 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm available here.

For help installing light seal kits please go here. Following the link to that short read can improve the quality of your light seal installation.
Next, take all of the seals out of the kit and lay them out on your work area. You are installing a 7 piece kit for the Yashica FX1 FX2. This kit includes,
Bottom channel seal, camera body – 1 x 1mm
Top channel seal, camera body – 1 x 1mm
Lower channel seal, hinge end back cover – 1 x 1mm
Upper channel seal, hinge end back cover – 1 x 1mm
Hinge seal, camera body – 1 x 1mm
Latch plate seal, latch end rear cover – 1 x 2mm
Mirror cushion – 1 x 2mm
Tech Note. When installing the rear cover seals, you may want to remove the rear cover from the camera body. You will need to carefully lift the front leatherette at the hinge to expose 3 Phillips screws. If the leatherette is brittle do not remove the back cover.
Hinge seal, camera body.
Install this seal on the camera body, hinge side, centering the seal between the top / bottom door channels.
Door latch plate seal, back cover.
Install this seal on the back cover latch plate centering the seal on the latch plate.
Door channel seals, camera body.
Install the upper and lower channel seals on the camera body, starting at the hinge side on the , working from right to left. The upper channel has the counter actuation lever. You will need to install this seal as close to each side of the counter lever opening as possible.
Door channel, hinge side seals on back cover.
Install these short seals in the top and bottom channels of the back cover starting at the hinge side and working to the right.
Mirror cushion.
Now, with the utmost care, remove the old and install the new mirror cushion. Remember if any thing touches the focusing screen, it will likely be permanently damaged.
