Many times sheet foam can be best. We stock foam in sheets 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, and 3mm thick.

Also, remove the old door hinge and clean anywhere else you are replacing the seals.
The most important work you have to do is to remove the old seals. Focus on clean, clean, clean. Make sure to remove all traces of the old door channel seals, mirror cushion, door hinge, and anywhere else you are replacing old seals. The finest adhesive in the world will not adhere to that sticky goo that was once a light seal. Finally, a proper install will give you thousands of light tight exposures.

This USCamera custom light seal kit fits the Canon F1, and F1n Old. This old style F1 or F1n uses a 1.35-volt button cell battery for the meter. USCamera custom Canon F1n (new) light seal kit includes 2 door channel seals, door hinge seal, and a replacement mirror cushion. The F1n New uses a 6-volt battery and has an A setting on the speed dial. All seals have adhesive already applied and to install, just peel off the backing and press into place.
