USCamera custom light seal kit for the Minolta X300, X300x, X370, X370n, X370s, X370, X500, X570, X600, X7, X7a, X700, and X9 film cameras. This light seal kit includes 2 door channel seals for the camera body, 1 mirror cushion, 1 door hinge seal on the back cover and 2 small seals by the door hinge seal on the back cover. Please note that some cameras may use a film reminder window that requires foam, at this time we do not have a source for that seal, and is not included in this kit. Please note this is an “N” kit for the X Series listed and updates the older cameras also. Adding the short top and bottom back cover channel seals, hinge end updates the camera. Minolta determined that under certain outside lighting conditions, the film perforations could be slightly fogged near the counter lever.

First of all, the most needed and time-consuming work is removing the old seals. Focus on clean, clean, and clean.
Likewise, remove the old seals from the door channels, mirror cushion area, door hinge area and any where else you are replacing the seals, must be spotless.
The finest adhesive in the world will not adhere to that sticky goo that was once a foam light seal.
Furthermore, proper installation will give you thousands of light tight exposures.

Canon Pellix Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Canon Pellix film camera. This light seal kit consists of 2 door channel seals for the camera body, 1 door hinge seal and a replacement focusing screen seal set of 4 pieces. We find it easier to install the seals surrounding the focusing 1 piece at a time. We also include foam replacements for the 4 felt type seals on the back cover. Though those seals may look in poor condition, most are fine. We only recommend replacing them if missing.

Pentax K1000 Light Seals
USCamera light seal kit will fit the Pentax K1000, K2, Kx, Km, Spotmatic, Spotmatic F, Spotmatic II, Spotmatic IIa, Spotmatic SP, Spotmatic SP500, Electro Spotmatic, ES, and the ESII film cameras. All of those cameras use the same basic body casting. This kit includes lower/upper channel seals (body), camera body hinge seal, and a mirror cushion. Please note we do not recommend removing/replacing the original hinge seal unless it is damaged. It is made of special material and to date, we are not seeing that seal decayed on the cameras we have in stock.

Pentax Super Program Light Seals
USCamera custom light seal kit for the Pentax Super Program, Super A, Program Plus, Program A film cameras. The body casting for these models is the same. This 5 piece kit includes 2 door channels seals for the camera body, special cut mirror cushion, back cover hinge end top channel seal, and the hinge seal on the camera body. The original hinge seal is made of type of material that does not require replacement. I do not recommend removing the original seal and. In response to many requests from customers who have purchased cameras where the door hinge seal was already removed, we now include the foam door hinge seal. All seals have the adhesive installed. Just remove the backing from the foam and install. This kit is custom cut by USCamera and uses adhesive backed black open cell foam imported from Japan.

I ordered this kit to replace the seals in my X700, which were old and letting light leak into the film and even ruined some of my exposures. The package came in on time and the seals were tucked in some nice cardboard for protection. With the help of the mighty Internet, I successfully replaced the seals and loaded another roll.
The camera no longer lets light leak onto the film and I am able to continue shooting on the old camera. I haven’t heard of US Camera before but I’ll be sure to order from them again next time I need to do a repair like this!

I was noticing light leaks in my Minolta X700 and I researched it to determine it was most likely the light seals. I ordered this kit and about 5 days later my light seals came. The seals came sealed in a ziploc bag with a link to install the seals. I followed the instructions and very thoroughly cleaned the old disintegrating lights seals off the camera. These new seals fit just right! Really detailed installation instructions. Thank You!
